You were on your way to living the lush life as a gifted software engineer, working for the most prestigious tech giant, until the last person you thought would betray you takes it all away. After three years of recovering from the emotional trauma, you are ready to stand back on your feet and re-enter the world in pursuit of a functional life. Your newfound resilience is put to the test as you are hit with several unfortunate events. But not all is unfortunate as you rekindle an old friendship that has a proposition that leaves you hesitant.​

Artemis is quite a good sci-fi visual novel that happens to contain some porn — not the other way around. Even if you removed every sex scene, it would still be worth playing. The story is engaging, the AI themes are thoughtfully done, and Kindra is one of the best-written LIs in the entire AVN space + High content volume.

But if you're looking for a game that balances story AND high-quality h-scenes? Artemis fumbles the second half. The sex scenes feel like an obligation the dev resents having to fulfill. The rendering inconsistencies, the sorority filler, and the recent AI-remaster controversy are kind of issues.

Play it if:  You want a story-driven sci-fi AVN with real emotional weight, great character writing, and don't mind waiting months between updates.

Skip it if:  You want frequent, high-quality sex scenes. Or if you need your sci-fi to make technical sense. Or if you don't have patience for a 1.5+ year development cycle.
